About Us
How It Began
Barley was just one little sausage dog in a big dog-eat-dog world and wanted to meet with his own kind. Dachshunds of Orlando was established in July 2018 with the aim of getting Barley's friends together. It began with Barley, Mila, Duke, Kalua and a few other important Founding Fur Balls.
Word of our community spread quickly and meets ups began growing - some as large as 70+ weens in one place! We have celebrated the holidays, birthdays, new babies and cried over rainbow bridges together.
Now the group is run by you, a community of 3,000+ members and some All Star social sausages that frequently get together or share advice, stories and hearts on our Facebook page. Please become a member and introduce your pup so we can find you at our next meet up or around the Orlando area!

- Members must own or take care of a Dachshund and you must live near Orlando / Central Florida
- Please plan to come to a meet-up - Participation is key!
- We are a tight-knit group who trusts each other. In order to keep the group full of active participants and away from any public dangers, members must request to join and follow group rules.

- No buying or selling outside approved areas within the community
- Be careful making blind agreements with group members. DoO is not responsible for loss or injury in any way.
- Posts that do not meet the goals of the group will be deleted, and anything resembling spamming will cause members to be banned.
